What interests me is going to a world that is very loaded in terms of having a strong sense of place. As a child the woods had such a powerful presence when I walked in them as did much of the outdoors. These places of extreme beauty and sanctuary still exist in my memory, imagination and dreams. I want to say to the viewer, look what exists right alongside us, right alongside our everyday, our Wednesdays, our Thursdays. Come with me. I’ll show you.
