It's really good that I have to write things like artists statements once in a while because it makes me ponder and formalize why I spend so much time making art. I am jazzed by the shape and function of the light bulb lately. As I work with it I realize it's my way of paying homage to what it stands for metaphorically, and literally. To capture the flow of energy! Which happens for me when I create. I hope to share the feeling of being in the flow of discovery and to inspire witnesses to go there too. I like to let the material I'm using speak within the silly rules I impose. I try to keep being curious and open.
