I am fascinated by painterly expression and the process of artistic creation. Satisfying my innate curiosity results in visual explorations that are quite different, one from the other. Whether I am creating an autobiographical piece, a political statement, landscape, still life, commissioned piece or a bit of whimsy, there is no difference—with one stroke of the brush I am drawn into the moment and onto another plane.

Art is the most powerful means of communicating and documenting history. The viewing provides a pure and direct connection with the painter/historian. Because there is no way of knowing how my works will be received, when, where and by whom...this mystery is part of the beauty and the magic.

I’m currently engaged in mixed media and larger pieces. My professional work is in the graphic design and custom publishing arenas. I enjoy photography, writing, and exploring nature through hiking and kayaking. I volunteer in the community and serve on the Newtown Economic Development Commission.
